As a STEM Research Intern, you'll be exposed to a diverse range of projects and have the chance to explore your interests within the STEM field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and Analysis: Dive deep into STEM-related projects, including energy storage, power electronics, and related science and technologies. Conduct research, analyze data, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

  • Project Support: Work closely with our faculty, project managers, and engineers to support ongoing initiatives. Get involved in the design, development, and testing of innovative solutions that have real-world applications.

  • Data Collection: Collect and analyze data related to our projects, whether it's assessing the feasibility of sustainable energy solutions, studying effectiveness, performance, and risks associated with operational and installation energy technologies or participating in field experiments like JIFX.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of your research findings, project progress, and experimental data. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate your findings effectively.

  • Collaborative Outreach: Engage with our team to create educational materials about STEM topics and the significance of our projects. Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.

Qualifications

  • Student Veteran Status: Must be a student veteran pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field, such as electrical engineering, environmental science, industrial engineering, or a similar discipline.

  • Passion for STEM: Strong interest and enthusiasm for STEM subjects, including sustainable energy, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent research and analytical skills to delve into complex STEM topics and find innovative solutions.

  • Data Proficiency: Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools to effectively evaluate and interpret project data.

  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
