Technical Program Manager

Josh Loop is the Technical Program Manager at Veterans to Energy Careers. A proud alumnus of both the United States Coast Guard Academy and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Josh holds a Bachelors and Masters in mechanical engineering. With nine years of service in the US Coast Guard, where he held roles as Assistant Chief Engineer, Deck Watch Officer, and Lead Regional Port Engineer, Josh brings a wealth of experience to his role at VTEC. He is a specialist in engineering and his knowledge of renewable energy helps VTEC build strong partnerships in both the government and private sectors.

Stephanie Trevino

Data Analyst

Stephanie Trevino is our Data Analyst at Veterans to Energy Careers. As a proud graduate of California State University San Marcos with a degree in Psychology, Stephanie has a strong background in supporting student success. During her time at CSUSM, she served as the President of the Student Veterans Organization and the lead mentor for the professional development program at VTEC. With eight years of experience in the Marine Corps as a supply admin and operations specialist, Stephanie is a knowledgeable resource for student training and is an expert in Salesforce.

Moses Maddox

Moses Maddox is the Veterans Retention Counselor at Veterans to Energy Careers. A proud alumni of California State University San Marcos, Moses holds a degree in Social Sciences with a Philosophy minor. With a focus on professional development since 2012, Moses has been working with veterans for over a decade, leveraging his eight years of service in the Marine Corps as a financial management tech, graves registration specialist, and civil affairs specialist. Moses is our resident expert in LinkedIn and networking, helping veterans navigate their career paths.

Fernando Green

Business Coordinator

Fernando Green is our Business Coordinator at Veterans to Energy Careers. As the main point of contact for VTEC interns, Fernando manages program administration procedures to ensure smooth operations. Holding a degree in business administration with a focus on management and human resources from California State University San Marcos (where he graduated with honors), Fernando brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Prior to joining VTEC, Fernando served as an infantryman in the US Army for five years.

Jamie Childers

Jamie serves as the go-to person for administrative management tasks, making her an important member of the Veterans to Energy Careers team. Jamie is essential in making sure that the business runs well, with a focus on travel and spending. Jamie, who spent twelve years in the US Army, adds a plethora of expertise to the position. Jamie is a key member of the VTEC team.

Israel Jaramillo

Management Administration

Israel is a management administrative intern at Veterans to Energy Careers, where he handles traveling and assists with the budget. He is a veteran, having served in the navy for ten years as a corpsman. In addition to his role at Veterans to Energy Careers, Israel is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in finance. He combines his military experience and academic pursuits to contribute to the success of VTEC.

Meet Tyler, a marketing intern at Veterans to Energy Careers. As part of his role, he is responsible for communications, packaging and shipping gift bags for newcomers, and assists with various marketing efforts. In addition to his work at VTEC, Tyler is also pursuing a degree in digital art. A veteran himself, Tyler served six years in the Air Force and is now dedicated to helping other veterans transition into successful careers in the energy industry through his work at VTEC.

 

Deseree Campbell

Meet Deseree, a marketing intern at Veterans to Energy Careers. As part of her role, she is responsible for communications, packaging and shipping gift bags for newcomers, and assists with various marketing efforts. In addition to her work at VTEC, Deseree is also pursuing a Master’s degree in digital marketing. A veteran herself, Deseree served four years in the Marine Corps and is now dedicated to helping other veterans transition into successful careers in the energy industry through her work at VTEC.

Currently, Carina is pursuing her passion for environmental studies and is committed to making a positive impact on the world. With her military background and dedication to her studies, Carina is a valuable asset to VTEC and the greater community.

 

David King

David King, a U.S. Marine is currently a student at California State University San Marcos pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science. He is the Undergraduate Peer Advising Case Management Intern for Veterans to Energy Careers.David works closely with undergraduate Veteran students, providing crucial support in career planning and personal development. He works towards enhancing his skills in conducting one-on-one career coaching sessions, delivering workshops on resume building and LinkedIn profile development, and ensuring that students are connected with the appropriate campus resources. He collaborates with the Case Management Supervisor to create tailored career and graduate school pathways for program participants.
